Bill McDermott, Co-founder
of the Maryland Flames has been named the Maryland State
Director for the Girl’s side of Youth Basketball of America (YBOA),
and will be responsible for hosting the YBOA State Qualifier
Tournament each year.
All Maryland Flames Teams will now have the
opportunity to participate in both AAU and YBOA tournament
events. As a result of our new association our
teams can now qualify to play in both the AAU
Nationals as well as the YBOA’s National Championship
Tournament which is held annually in
Cocoa Beach,
Florida.
This is exciting as it provides another level of
exposure for all our Maryland Flames teams. Both Boys
and Girls will have a chance to participate in a
another prestigious
National Tournament. For information
